А вы знали, что в разных странах у переводчиков есть свои хештеги?

Я нет, недавно нашла и делюсь с вами! Теперь вы можете следить на новостями в сфере перевода своего языка по хештегу:

English:

  • #xl8: means “translate”, this is how: – x = trans – l = l – 8 = ate.
  • #xl8job: it is the same hashtag as the first one but to find a translation job in singular.
  • #xl8jobs: it is the same hashtag as the first one but to find translation jobs (in plural).
  • #t9n: “t” = the first letter of translation, with the number “9” which are the letters between the first and last letter of the term translation and “n” being the last letter of this term.
  • #t9njob: this hashtag helps us to find a translation job.
  • #t9njobs: it is the same hashtag as the precedent one but for more than just one job.
  • #t9y: means “terminology” with the same explanation as the hashtag #t9n.
  • #1nt: here we find another smart use of letters and numbers to find something related to “interpretation”.
  • #l10n: means “localization” with the same explanation as the hashtag #t9n.
  • #l10job: this hashtag helps us to find a localization job.
  • #l10njobs: t is the same hashtag as the precedent one but for more than just one job specialized in localization.
  • #g11n: means “globalization”, once again we find a combination of numbers and letters to shorten a term and gain some space for the 140 characters that Twitter gives us.
  • #i18n: means “internalization and localization” all together.
  • #translating: there’s no explanation to do, this is one of the most used hashtags for translators.
  • #translation: the most obvious translated-related hashtag. Any questions?
  • #interpreting: there is no explanation to do, this is one of the most used hashtags for interpreters.
  • #interpretation: the most obvious interpreting-related hashtag.

Spanish:

  • #traducción: there’s nothing more to add, just a quick search for “translation” info in Spanish.
  • #traducir: this is the verb “translate”, we can find interesting posts with this hashtag.
  • #traductor: just “translator”, singular masculin. It can also be used in Catalan with the same meaning.
  • #traductora: the same as the precedent one but for women. It can also be used in Catalan with the same meaning.
  • #interpretación: an easy hashtag for “interpretation” in Spanish.
  • #interpretar: this is just the verb “interpreting”.
  • #hurraporeltraductor: Hurray for the translator! Because translators are great people. This hashtag was used (i.e.) during the International Translation Day. Any other questions or doubts?

Catalan:

  • #traducció: as in Spanish, in Catalan we can also find a specialized hashtag for “translation”.
  • #traduir: this is the verb “translating” in Catalan.
  • #interpretació: means “interpretation”.
  • #interpretar: this is just the verb “interpreting”.

Italian:

  • #traduzione: means “translation”.
  • #interpretazione: means “interpretation”.
  • #tradurre: it is the verb “translate”.
  • #traduttrice: a woman who translates.
  • #traduttore: a man who translates.

French:

  • #traductrice: a woman who translates.
  • #traducteur: a man who translates.
  • #traduire: it is the verb “translate”.

Polish

  • #tlumacz: even if we should use the Polish letter “ł” we are using just a traditional “l” to say “translator” in this language.
  • #tlumaczenie: we are missing the Polish letter “ł” using once again a simple “l” to say “translation”.
